Adulation (The Whisper of Death)

I promised a very recent net-friend of mine from India that I would write something in English, so he could read me. Here it goes then.
We live in interesting times. “Reality” is sprawled on TV and on the tabloids. Mediocrity is applauded and any kind of original thinking is discarded as second rate behavior. From school to nursing homes, from our own chilhood until we are on “a bucket list” kind of age, we are trained, brainwashed, bombarded even, with messages that imply no self-respect, no self-value, no self altogether. Criminals run amok in our political system and continue to rake in the votes of the rich and greedy, and the lazyness (behavior that I relate to non-voting and always complaining parasites of society) of the poor and dumb. It is a great world indeed when people stop reading to watch Jersey Shore and Big Brother. When did we give up on this world my brothers?
Half-naked chicks sing about their break-ups with muscle-bound freaks. Teenagers cry about their lack of interest in anything that might improve their quality of thought. News stations report everything related to war and famine and horror and don’t really want to talk to whomever creates those wars. And we applaude, like well-programed automatons that we are. Is this really the best the most intelligent creature in the known Universe is able to do? Applaude mediocrity?
If God exists (I may not believe im Him but I consider that I might be wrong) he must be laughing at us. It’s a Divine Comedy indeed. People die by the thousands each day and we cry for dope-fiends, half-baked human beings that were given a non-deserved gift to delight others and did not use it as they were supposed to. Where did we learn that I wonder? And who taught us?
The Universe is ruled by Mathematics and yet no genius, no scientist is ever assigned any position of power. Here’s some math for you: how is it possible that one percent of the most rich people own forty percent of the resources everybody needs to survive?
We live in a world bathed everyday, all day long, in pure, clean energy and yet let the ruling classes decide that oil and coal is the best solution, despite the fact that Global Warming is becoming more and more real and less and less “crazy theory”. Why? Are we that dumb?
We hear cries of despair of people researching and developing new techonologies for the good of all, wanting to deliver us from certain death and yet we listen to the ridiculous whispers of greedy death-dealers that want nothing more than mantain their Status-Quo. Are our heads so filled with buzzing and white-noise that compose our mass-media that we can’t hear nothing else? Really?
Death is coming for us all, no matter what we do and yet we run scared instead of facing it proudly. It rides a black horse… or maybe it’s a oil-covered mule and what we fear it’s the unknown. If that is what we fear we can, at least, face all other known fears and cast away doubt that a new world order is possible. A new order, with justice and equality for all. We need you, all of you. Stop thinking that you’re not valuable or important. We all are. Don’t let anyone tell you different or treat you as if you were. And if they do, fight and die staring death in the face with no fear in your eyes. ZEITGEIST!

  1. I agree completely, we have to stand up together against injustice, do everything we can in your power to help the unfortunate.

    Peace,
